ACGA vs Shanghai Long Grass Golf Club

Dear readers

We had a great competition against the Shanghai Long Grass Golf Club that flew 20 members over for a friendly competition.

Needless to say, ACGA won the  Cup.

Here are some great photos.

After the golf game, the players were treated to a great dinner at Shun Fung Restaurant at the Barracks Jetty. This was sponsored by one of our member Mr Sin.

There was another dinner the next day at Jack Chen's Cafe on Stirling St to say goodbye to the players.

Till the next game, goodnight.

ACGA's members fund raise for the WA School state team for the Under 17s Schools National

Dear friends

We were approached by a young 14 year old 2 handicapper to help sponsor her or the School State team in the Under 17s Schools National to be held at Canberra in August.

This golfer and many of the golfers are members of Mt Lawley Golf Club where ACGA has held quite a few competitions.

President Sheng had no hesitation in getting the ACGA members together to support the WA School team.

Within 2 weeks, ACGA through their members raised $1000.

The cheque was presented to the grateful team last week.

We wish the team good their good luck in their quest.
